De Schaduw van Bonifatius
short film / production designer
The short film ‘De Schaduw van Bonifatius’ takes place in the year 754 A.D. The Christian tempest blows through Europe. In Frisia the last tribes resist the gale. The young monk Gregory is elected to join Bishop Boniface on a last attempt to convert the Frisians. Together they journey towards the holy oak of Thor, the heart of the Frisian civilization.
My work
Production design
During my fourth year at the Nederlandse Filmacademie in Amsterdam, I successfully graduated while serving as a production designer for this short film. Collaborating closely with the visual effects department was an invaluable experience, offering profound insights into the synergy between the art department and visual effects.
