Waterland

art installation / art director

Renowned artist Jólan van der Wiel invited me to collaborate on a projection-mapped art installation, featured as a highlight in the Must See exposition at the Zuiderzeemuseum.

This innovative installation draws inspiration from the profound Dutch tradition of dikes, barrages, and polders—a heritage deeply intertwined with the nation's history. Our objective was to craft an abstract timelapse that elegantly portrays the evolution of the Dutch landscape, all through the prism of a minimalist point cloud aesthetic.

I held the role of Art Director, responsible for crafting the visual direction, developing concept art, and creating storyboards.

We asked Studio Whoohoo to help bring this vision to live, they created the animations and provided invaluable support with the projection mapping technique.
